The Life & Times of Bob Craypoe-The Early Years

Bob was born in scenic Dover, New Jersey. His real name is Robert L. Crepeau. Bob was an absolute delight as a child. However, his mother may have a different opinion regarding that. Although he was the only child in his family that didn't suck his thumb (and he didn't wet the bed either), he did like to go out his bedroom window and jump off of the porch roof.

Bob first skipped school in Kindergarten and smoked his first cigarette at nine. His hobbies included: Knocking on doors and running away, drawing unflattering pictures of his teachers, being corrupted by the older kids and corrupting the younger ones.

Baby Bob: Bob in his early years.

Bob originally wanted to be a cartoonist as a kid but that all changed when he began to play guitar at the age of 15. Although his  Grandfather and father both played guitar, Bob ended up teaching himself after he was told by his grandfather that he'd be better off doing so. The fact that his father was too busy going through his schizophrenic hallucinations further necessitated the need for him to teach himself anyway.

Grandpa, however, went and bought a few guitar books for Bob and so Bob taught himself music theory, guitar chords and scales as well as how to read sheet music. The process of teaching himself allowed Bob to approach things from an analytic perspective, which in turn helped him to become more creative. For whatever that's worth.
